Here at Castle Street Dance Studios we regularly take part in local events and take groups of students to perform in and around Buckinghamshire. Here are some of the events CSDS took part in during 2014 & 2015 –

Chesham Arts Festival February 2016

We would like to say a huge well done to all our students who performed at Chesham Arts Festival in February half term 2016. Everyone danced beautifully and received wonderful marks – all over 80!Congratuations to;
Ellisha Buckland who placed 3rd out of 17 in her Lyrical Solo.
Annelise Hill who came 2nd out of 16 in the 15-21yrs Ballet Solo.
Senior Commercial Ensemble who placed 3rd overall – Marla Batty, Ellisha Buckland, Ellisha Busby, Natasha Churchill, Annelise Hill, Rhea Kankate, Abbie Thompson, Chloe Walker, Chloe Withey, Sophie Yazdi-Davis.
Fantastic results for our first festival and we are all so proud of you!
















Christmas Demonstration Day – Sunday 29th November

The Christmas demonstration is a free event which is open to all students from Pre-School to Grade 3. The timetable for the afternoon’s demonstrations is attached. This is a great opportunity to see what your child has been learning in class this term and for you to see their progression. This year we are delighted to announce that special guest Cinderella will be joining us! The pupils will be able to meet her and have photos taken with her on the day.

High Wycombe Christmas Lights Switch on 2015.

For the second year running HWBidCo invited us to perform again on the Main Stage in Frogmoor. BBC Children in Need Tapathon Challenge

This year we are taking part in the Children in Need Tapathon Challenge. Dancer’s from all over the UK are attempting to break a world record to get as many people tapping the same routine at once! The challenge will be held on Sunday 15th November 2015 and we have 50 participant’s! Our student’s, parents and teacher’s danced to Uptown funk by Bruno Mar’s, to raise money for Children in Need. Congratulations to everyone who took part we raised a huge £1000.00 for charity.


FrogFest High Wycombe –  24th of May

We participated in FrogFest this year, a fun filled festival held in High Wycombe’s town centre run by HWBidCo. The CSDS students performed a flashmob in the town centre which took the audience by surprise and then hit the main stage to perform some fantastic choreography of  ‘Dances through the Ages’.

‘Thriller Live’ Easter Workshop – Oakley Hall High Wycombe
Our workshop was hosted by the extremely talented Jessica Craft-Graham. Jessica is currently starring in Thriller Live in the West End. Everyone had a great day working with a professional dancer and learning choreography from one of the most popular West End shows. Our Juniors learnt Thriller and our Seniors learnt beat it. Well done everyone who took part we were very impressed with you dancing!


Christmas Demonstration Day – Tylers Green Village Hall.
It was so lovely to see so many of our beautiful dancers at our Christmas Demonstration afternoon. What an amazing turn out! A huge thank you to our Special guests Elsa & Anna from ‘Fairydust entertainment’. We absolutely loved watching the childrens faces light up when they came in, it really was a magical afternoon. Fantastic dancing, great atmosphere and happy dancers. We could’t have asked for anything more! We hope you all had as much fun as we did!

High Wycombe Christmas Lights Switch On 2014
A Fantastic performance from our students at the Christmas lights in High Wycombe. What a way ot kick start the festive season, You were all brilliant! Another proud moment for the CSDS team and of course for all of your parents too! Thank you once again to HWBIDCo for such a wonderful evening, they described our performances as an ‘Exceptional Debut.’

Midsummer Gatsby Ball – Wycombe Abbey.
Congratulations to all the students who performed at Wycombe Abbey in aid of the High Wycombe Homeless Connection. You blew the audience away and as Bill Giles said ‘That was well worth the entry fee alone!’ A huge well done you put on a first class performance and The event raised well over £15,000.

Arts & Spirituality Flower Festival – All Saints High Wycombe.
Well done to everyone who performed at the All saints church in the town centre, our students performed a variety of dance styles, group numbers and solo’s. All to help raise money for the Organ repair fund & the Church Funds.

School Fetes – Summer 2014.
This year we took a large group of students to lot’s of different schools to do performances and workshops. We would like to say a big thank you to all the school’s who invited us to perform; Hamilton Academy, Cedar Park, High Wycombe C of E combined school, the students had a great time.


Summer School 2014 – Bucks New University.
This year our summer school was held at Bucks New University in their state of the art Events Hall. Our summer schools are open to anyone in standard/grade 4 and above. Summer school is a fun-filled, action packed week for all students involved. With lessons in all our usual subjects, whilst also giving them the opportunity to explore other dance styles and disciplines such as; Lyrical Jazz, Aerobics and Disco.
